Lockport New Beginnings Programs

Initially, Lockport New Beginnings provided support to people chemically dependent on drugs and alcohol. Since then, Lockport New Beginnings has added support groups for their families. We recognize the very real need for preventative programs in the Niagara County community. While we continue to offer support to persons addicted, we feel it is also essential that our organization take a more proactive role in preventing our community's youth from becoming engulfed in risky, unhealthy lifestyles. Our mission is to promote safe, healthy lifestyle choices by offering support through education, mentorship, leadership, self esteem, and financial training programs from a Christian perspective.

In addition to our annual events (Walk-a-Thon, Black History Month Banquet, Stepping Up Project), Lockport New Beginnings offers a variety of programs for our community's youth:

This event in one of the high points of our year. The walk encourages the community to participate in a very worthwhile activity!

Black History Month Banquet

Lockport New Beginnings sponsors an annual Black History Month banquet where we highlight the history and acheivements of Americans of African descent.

Stepping Up Project

Each year, our "Stepping Up" project provides sneakers, clothing and school supplies for the community's children most in need.
